Earn Flying Blue Miles – 10 Ways To Earn Your Flying Blue Miles

Flying Blue is the frequent flyer program of Air France-KLM and is among the most popular programs in the SkyTeam alliance, especially due to the monthly promo rewards. I often get the question how these miles can be earned. Fortunately, this is not limited to just air travel. There are way more ways to earn miles, for example by flying Air France-KLM’s partner airlines, on hotel stays, car rental, through credit cards and even by shopping online! That’s why in this article, I will mention 10 ways on how to earn Flying Blue miles.

1. Flying With Air France-KLM

Let’s start with the most common way to earn Flying Blue miles: by flying with Air France or KLM. Flying Blue made some major changes in the program back in 2018. A revenue-based earning model was introduced, meaning that members earn miles based on the ticket price rather than on the distance flown. The number of miles you earn depends on your level within the program. Learn more about earning miles on Air France-KLM flights on the Flying Blue website.

4. By Booking Hotel Stays Through Rocketmiles

In my opinion, earning miles in hotel programs isn’t that interesting as these hotel chains prefer members to redeem their points on hotel stays. Luckily, there are better options to earn miles when you sleep. I found a great way to earn extra miles with Rocketmiles. This booking portal allows you to earn frequent flyer miles on your hotel booking. The tool works the same as booking.com, since you are not limited to just one hotel chain. Rocketmiles allows you to earn thousands of miles wherever in the world you book a hotel through them.
