On my trip to Bora Bora, I stayed at a 5 star resort called Conrad Bora Bora Nui, a real paradise on earth. Rates per night here always cost over $ 900 but I redeemed 80,000 Hilton points per night to cover entire the cost per night, which was a significantly more affordable option.
Check-in
The Conrad Bora Bora Nui is located at To’opua island but the resort offers a ferry service (additional charge) from both the airport and the main island. Guests are warmly welcomed when arriving at the pier and accompanied by a staff member to the welcome lobby. A staff member also takes your luggages to the reception area and then to your villa.
Upon arrival, I was impressed by this excellent welcome service and most importantly the friendliness of the staff. In the welcome lobby, I was offered a seat with a welcome drink while the receptionist was completing the check-in process. Later she cheerfully informed me that I was upgraded to a King Garden Villa.
A buggy service is offered to bring guests to their accommodation. While speaking with one of the staff members, I immediately noticed how enormous the resort was. She gave me a small introduction about what the resort offers while passing by the overwater villas. I loved seeing the crystal-clear blue water.
King Garden Villa
After the guided introduction tour, we arrived at my King Garden Villa where I received a welcome letter stating that my luggages would be arriving soon. The villa is subdivided into a seating area, bedroom, bathroom, and balcony. There is a minibar with 2 beers and a couple of chocolate bars. The inside of the villa looks modern, clean, and well-maintained.
The slide doors between the seating area and the bedroom can be fully closed to create more privacy in both areas. Next to the king size bed, there is a desk and some storage for baggage. I was impressed by the rose petals arranged on the bed. This romantic touch reminded me that Bora Bora is a popular honeymoon destination.
The bathroom is almost as incredibly spacious as the seating area and includes double bathroom sinks. There is a bathtub, toilet, and a shower room which offers both a hand held shower head and rain shower. The resort included every possible amenity needed for a comfortable stay.
The balcony is located on the other side of the villa and offers a fantastic view of the garden. I loved listening to the sounds of the crickets every time I opened the slide door.
Facilities
The Conrad Bora Bora Nui offers plenty of facilities and activities like swimming pools, a tennis court, a fitness, spa facilities, bars, and restaurants. Champagne can be ordered at the poolside bar and is very enticing when the daily weather reaches a high of 32 degrees Celsius.
At the swimming pool, there were sunbeds that were slightly submerged under- water. This made it more enjoyable to relax under the sun while drinking a glass of Billecard-Salmon champagne.
The crystal-clear water is perfect for diving and snorkelling. Other than the swimming pools you can also access multiple beaches located on the resort.
Restaurants
There are various restaurants to choose from such as Chinese and French. I decided to dine at the French restaurant for a meat course with a glass of red wine. I experienced an excellent service here. No need to ask for a refill when my glass of wine was almost empty because the waitress was very attentive and made sure my glass was always filled to the brim. For dessert, the waitress brought me ice-cream with a smile.
The breakfast is served at the second floor with a nice view over the villas. Although there is a buffet that offers tons of choices for a good start of the day, the staff will be more than happy to serve you at your seat.
Conrad Bora Bora Nui Bottom Line
This was for sure one of my best hotel stays ever, together with the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. From the beginning of the stay, guests are warmly welcomed in the lobby and a buggy service is provided to bring them to their accommodation. The King Garden Villa is spacious and offers all facilities you would expect from a 5-star resort. The spacious bathroom and balcony with garden view are the amenities that impressed me the most.
I liked that there was always something to participate in because many facilities and activities were made accessible for their guests. In addition, there were multiple swimming pools, a tennis court, and possibilities for diving and snorkelling. All in all, I highly recommend you to stay at the Conrad Bora Bora Nui and I think you’ll get a good value for only 80.000 Hilton points.
